Completed in charcoal.  This piece is based on a gargoyle on St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Albany, NY. I was invited to submit a piece for consideration in a fundraising art show; the goal was to highlight unique architecture. It never entered my mind to create anything but a gargoyle.
